im thinking of asking for a bridle for my youngster for christmas. im not planning on bitting him till he is around two so april/may time. i know he will need a hunter style bridle with s thick nose band but i dont know if he will need pony or cob?. His is a welsh d and at the moment is 16months and standing 13.3.

here is a photo of his head.

My pony looks to have a similar size head, she is in a cob, but is on the top of the throat latch, and the noseband does come up a bit big, but the browband is fine, i would recommend you get a cob and if not, send it back and get a pony, with some bridles you can mix n match, e.g sabre allow you to mix n match , hope this helps!

excuse the mane its a right mess on this photo. hairy beasty in the winter. i think i will go for cob, just didnt want it hanging off if i was to take him anywhere, but then again dont want it too tight.

thanks :D
