Fudge usually wears a 48 inch girth, what size dressage girth will he need if I win the dressage saddle I'm bidding on?

As above - wait till it arrives because the straps are different lengths on different makes of saddles so you need to try it on then measure from strap to strap allowing a couple of holes on each side.

If you get too short a girth it can catch the back of the elbow bone when the horse moves. Our horses all seem to be in 48" girths with their various jumping saddles, but range from 18" - 24" for dressage so definitely wait and measure. If you splash out on a beautiful leather one with elastic inserts remember it won't get any shorter but the elastic may stretch a bit as time goes on . . . Apologies if I'm stating the obvious
