What size driving harness for Sec A?

The pony sized one is huge on him.

Should I get a shetland one or will the proportions be wrong for a Sec A? Is there any companies that make a cheapo webbing one in a small pony size?

talk to the Shetland people, you might find the breast girth too wide.
Try the BDS or SCDA website for more specialist info, and their might be a harness looking for a home, not many people drive Section A's

How come people don't generally drive sec a's? I'm looking to break my young one in a few years to harness, so just wondering...

personally id argue the not many drive sec A's line above, my boy is currently being put to (wears a standard shetty harness) & i know of at least 20 people that have sec A driving ponies.

My friend uses Shetland size ones on all her A's- you may need a few holes here an fees but the fit should be OK- some manufacturers do sell a small pony one A's well. Best of luck!

Lots of people drive section As!! They're great fun (and my OH finds them a lot 'quicker' than the Cleveland Bays he used to drive!!).

We have shettie harness for ours. Can't remember where we got it but the lady was very helpful, I gave her all the measurements and she was happy to put something bespoke together if the normal shettie size didn't fit (it did). OH's in the process of breaking a second one to harness and Midy's harness seems to fit him too.
