What size for a round lungeing pen?

Hi all, am considering making a round lungeing/loose schooling pen. Proper surface ie sand and rubber.

What diameter should it be please? I was thinking 20m diamater, but is this a bit small?

Won't be ridden in, just loose schooled in a circle, or for lungeing.

Ours at the yard is 20m and most people lunge on a smaller circle in it. End up with a track at about 15m!

Ideally I'd want it at least 20m - we had a circular one where I used to work which was a 27m circle - perfect size.

The one at our yard is 15x20 and it is a bit small IMO - if your horse freaks, not really enough room to get out the way!

Agree, Id go for one sligthly bigger than a 20m circle, you'll find out why once you do it.
