...and dont say one that does up both sides!

I have a dressage girth coming with my new barefoot western saddle and not sure of the sizing for these. Can anyone give me an indication?

My horse is a 15hh Criollo and weighs about 500kg.

Or where do I take the measurments from?

Thanks folks!

I am sorry and havent the slightest in what a barefoot western saddle looks like. However, always thinking that you want to have room for adjustment I would wait til the saddle comes then put it on and measure from the middle hole of the girth strap on one side to the middle hole on the other, and I tend to buy girths with elastic in them or the Aerborn Humane girth, in case of emergency obese horse moments!
Why doesnt the saddle need a normal western cinch? Am interested as to what it looks like!?!

Not a clue, but JM is right, ask the supplier

I have emailed but not heard back yet and I'd like to email her with the measurments so there is no more delay (cant wait to ride him!!).

It comes with a girth so I'll get one with the saddle hence the need to know before the saddle arrives.

This type doesnt have a cinch but uses a dressage girth instead.

At a guess I would say 24 inches. My 17.3 heavyweight is ridden in a treeless saddle with a dressage girth of 34 inches, my 17 hander heavyweight is 30 inches, so your Criollo would be about 24-26 inches. Hope you are going to do some endurance with your Criollo - I saw one recently completing the 50 mile class with ease at one of our rides

Thats smashing thanks for your guestimate.

Yeah I do intend on doing some longer distance rides. I'd like to have a go at le trec too.
