What size pony?

Ok my friend is looking to get her daughter a pony, shes had lessons etc etc.

Now my friend is not horsey in the slightest so doesnt know what size pony she should be looking for.

Daughter is about 4stone and about 4ft something high.

she has been riding a 14.2hh at the stables, but I have just explained that this is probably to big for her to have of her own.

So what do you think would be a good size?

How old is the daughter?

Size is not really too much of an issue, just something safe to handle and ride when you have young kinds riding them, though i would think about 13 -13.2 would be a nice size

Sorry, should have said she is 10 years old.
thats the sort of height was thinking,,..... let the search begin lol

My 10 yr old is now finding her 12.2 a touch small.
13.2 max I would say, although she could do what small children do best and grow lots in a very short space of time!!

If she were to look for a 13hh+ GOOD native then most could carry her well into teens and adulthood
