What size thermatex should I order?

I'm looking at buying 2 thermatex's - one for my girl, one for the pony. My girl is between 6'3" and 6'6" rugs (she takes 6'6" amigo rugs, fit perfectly, 6'3" PE rugs for example). The pony has 5'6" amigo on, 5'3" in other rugs.

So what size thermatex should I buy? I know I want to go a size smaller - but does that mean I should go 5'3 and 6'3, or should I go down to 5' and 6'? I know they will stretch out, but at the same time I don't want to end up with a rug far too small to start with.

My girl is a welsh d x Arab, and pony is Newfie x fell type.

Any ideas would be appreciated :)
 
Sizeing on them are a nightmare, I bought one half price in a sale it was 6ft and fits my 15.2hh cob x tb and my 16.2hh tbs no prob. I def wouldn't off wanted bigger.

I firstly bought a 6ft3 rug for a horse who is usually 6ft3 and it is now too big. So next time round I bought a 6ft for a horse who usually fits a 6ft3 it wasnt TOO small to start (end of rug approx 2-3 inches above her tail) and now a year on with very light use is about 1 inch above her tail and looks much better on her than the 6ft3 I would definetely always buy 1 size down for my lot from there but not 2 sizes down :)
 
I think the general consensus when buying a thermates is to buy a size smaller than your usual size due to the fact that thease rugs have a lot of 'give' in them! I love mine, they go in the washing machine and tumble dryer with no problems :-)
