No - eventing has never been about huge heights, more about discipline and asking a horse to jump a 1.50m course after such a trying day yesterday would be a little unfair!
1m 50 was the width of the oxer in the Team round. They kept saying 1 m 50 and i thought it was height to start with but they mentioned it again and said width.
The 'pure' showjumpers will only be competing over 1.60m tracks so to expect an eventer to go round a 1.50m...after 3 days of competition would be asking a bit too much lol!
To be honest, if it was 1.50m you'd probably only find a couple of those horses that could jump it. It takes a fairly special horse to even jump round a 1.40m
BTW...It was the triple bar that they were quoting as 1.50m wide...but it was only 1.20m (or 3'11") high
