What size?

Had my 16.1hh tb gelding for 8 weeks now and finally have my own saddle so need a girth, but no clue what size!

He's narrow and dropping weight (doing my best to prevent this).

My friend has a warmblood x arab in a 44" and a suffolk punch x id in a 54"

I was thinking a 48/50?

Wrap a piece of binder twine around ponio from girthing strap to girthing strap. Measure, take to saddlers and buy the correct length. Simples.

My chunky mare is in a 52" but she's smaller than your boy. I agree about the string idea, that sounds like you'll get the most accurate measurement from that
