What sort of jacket do you wear for riding?

Just wondering what sort of jackets people wear for riding? I am trying to work out what my customers would like me to stock but I know that I can't just rely on my personal preferences so would like to canvass a wider opinion :)
 
I don't really like wearing jackets, much prefer to layer up jumpers/fleeces with a gilet over the top. Also a nice hi viz gilet for hacking, you don't often see many in shops so I would recommend a good range of gilets and hi viz ones if possible!
 
Thanks monkeybum :) I'm the same actually. I have an extensive collection of gilets which I wear Spring, Summer (on cold days) and Autumn. Jackets only come out in freezing Winter weather. I will look into Hi-Viz gilets.

I have decorated two of my gilets - one with horses head embroidery and the other with a lovely rearing horse in a sort of paisley pattern. I think they look really smart but not sure if others would like them?
 
God where would you like me to start, I have a bit of a thing about jackets think I could sell you some, but here are a few........

I used to either wear a shirt or a coat. Which was pointless really as I was usually too hot or too cold. :D
 
Parachute - not sure what to suggest for you then, ha ha :D

ebonyallen, some of those are on my 'favourite' list too :) I am thinking about Bronte jackets too as they are very good to embroider!

Haha, yes I am quite difficult. My body tends to mess me about. :D
'Too hot' Coat off.
'Too cold' Coat on
Jumper on - Still either too hot or cold. Damn it :p

Thats a good idea, on my John Whittaker jacket I had the Irish Draught Horse Society put on the back and it looks really good. That is a good service to offer, your Gillet ones sounded very nice as well. :D
 
The ones I sell are Regatta Dover - elasticated waist, fleece lined, embroidery pouches to access front and back, warm as toast, roll up hood, zip pockets, inside phone pockets, AMAZING jackets. I've got two, they've been washed a hundred times and are still totally waterproof.

Kellybee, I already sell Regatta fleeces and they are always good I think. I've got quite a collection of those to and they definitely wash and wear well. I will take a look at the Dover jackets :)
