What sort of paint should I use to paint my horse?

As in title? He is going to have a skeleton painted on him for a halloween fancy dress endurance ride yay! :)

However, as it's endurance I ideally want something that:

doesn't run
looks very white (only need white)
doesn't smudge easily
obviously doesn't cause any bad reactions!!
will wash off after without too much trouble....

Of course i will test it on him beforehand...

Poster paints? toothpaste? Gloss (only joking...)?

anyone painted their horses before?

THANKS!

sorry - where I said 'as it's endurance I ideally want something that doesn't run' what i meant was, it needs to withstand a bit of sweat!

Argh! No! It takes an age to get off!!
When asking about fancy dress, I was recommended poster paints, crayola or Tesco's own ones. They go on easy and wash off easy but not sure how they'd withstand against a sweaty bod!

Ha Sudecrem!! brilliant! He may get laughed at by his fieldmates for being turned out still wearing that and he is the king of the herd so it might ruin his Field Cred, lol!! Genius though, it would certainly wihtstand the rain!!

Facepaints and posterpaints i will try on a rainy day sometime. Aaah poor pony!!

poster pain works well. Once it drys stays put quite well and takes some scrubing to get off. my horse had flecks of paint on her for ages after she was painted for a demo
