What style saddle pad for dressage test??

Hello!

I’m making my big debut into the world of stressage in jan and was going to ask for a nice white saddle pad for Christmas.

I have a GP saddle so should I get a GP or dressage cut saddlepad? I’d love to see pics of both as I just can’t imagine in my head how a dressage pad would look under a GP saddle.

It’s only unaff intro and prelim but I like to look smart!

A GP pad will fit a GP saddle better than a dressage pad, due to the shape of the front edge.

I love le mieux pads for a bigger budget or cottage craft if smaller. Oh or the Hannah Francis charity do a gorgeous willberry white competition saddlecloth.

i have used both under a gp saddle and found them equally as good. just depends what you prefer.

I have an extensive collection of le mieux and did have my eye on a white one! But also like the idea of getting a Willberry one.

This is the pad we use to compete, SoloGroom sponsor us so it was supplied by them but it is by equiport it is beautiful.
You can completely customize them to have difference coloured edging and piping.

A dressage cut is definitely for a dressage or other straight cut saddle, not for dressage the activity . The rules simply say a pad of a conservative colour, so it doesn't have to be white either.
