What supplements do you use and why?

Superlex and devils relief for joints, though soon swapping to supplease gold once superflex runs out.
Equine gold for digestion as can get loose droppings when stressed or on more haylage.

Nothing ;) I'm quite pleased that new pony looks fan on just good hay! If she needs anything it'll probably be for her feet as they're currently in a state - I'll chuck her some Formula 4 Feet if my farrier needs some help.

dengie performance vits and mins - used to top up vits and mins as she's only on a handful of allan and page power and performance so not up to recommended amounts

oh and eostress - def seems to help her relax across back when in season - only used when not in big field that has lots of wild raspberrys canes plus lots of other shrubs inc willow ertc - then she's fine as she self medicates!!

ETA - i also add a simple home made electrolite (low sodium salt for potasium and normal salt for sodium) as she's a sweaty beaty - and soya oil for energy and coat shine - not sure you'd count these as suppliments though?!

I use Selenevite E as my main supplement, because I feed a fibre and high fat diet so need the extra vit E and selenium levels to balance it out.

Both get cheap veg oil, to top up on the high fat/oil feeds I give them.

Snip also gets Cool, Calm and collected because he's an arse, and also equifeasts electrolyte supplement when he needs it.

Rhythm only needs the standard supp, but will get electrolytes when he's in harder workmand needs them...but only on a need to give basis, not every feed.

Both have access to a salt lick in the stable.

I use magnesium oxide and agnus castus cos Tilly used to be a hormonal stress head! The agnus castus really seems to have worked as her seasons have been much less noticeable this year!

codlavine powder and atm they are finishing off my friends garlic as her horse had a reaction to it and it was a waste

but that will soon be going on farriers formula so will stop with codlavine and give him a stable lick instead because he has really crappy feet

and missy will go onto equivite as its cheaper and smells nice :o and because shes a baby and needs them to make her bones a bit stronger :)

I use soya oil for shine and extra energy as my horse tyies up so its hard to give her the energy feed that she needs for the amount of work we do and she gets D&H ers pellets as well as the usual feed

I feed a balancer that has a hoof and a glucosamine supplement in it because although he needs help with these, he doesn't need any extra calories or energy and this means he can have a small, non-fizzy feed that gives him what he needs.
