Hi, I was hoping to ask people what bridle and saddle would suit my new irish cob best. At the moment I want to try a bit of everything, dressage, SJ, XC, hacking, showing etc. At the moment I don't know what we will do most of. He is about 15'2" and black with hogged mane and I am long in the leg. I was was looking at the working hunter style saddles and bridles in particular Albion Selecta saddle. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I feel quite clueless ;)

I have an oakfield Santana which I found to be reasonably priced for a good saddle, the wider ones also have quite flat panels are good if your cob a flatish back but your fitter will be able to look at that.

Another vote for Oakfield Santana. I have a 14.3hh LW cob who is hogged. He is quite short in the back but I find the seat size comes up large relative to the amount of the saddle on the horses back. This has enabled me to have a 17" saddle on him where as with most other brands I needed a 16.5" I do a bit of everything and I find there is enough saddle in front of my leg to have my stirrups up to do fast work etc with no problems. I have a Jaguar hunter cavesson bridle for him which I am pleased with and is a good match (both Havana).
