What tack/turnout?

I am buying my daughter a pony, clearly Connemara, but not officially in passport. How do I turn him out for showing locally in ridden or m and m classes? Do I pull mane and plait, trim off feathers? Or treat him like the Connie he is really?

If local M&M classes don't require a pony to be registered then show as a Connie in a natural state (or craftily trimmed to look natural lol)

However even my local shows require M&M registration so have a look at what your local shows demand. Youmay find you have more choices available if pony is trimmed like WH, SHP classes, a lot comes down to what is available - in my case my unregistered pony will be trimmed up

Rider in tweed and long boots, pony in brown tack - this will cover just about any class

I would possibly start with pony untrimmed and in M&M classes if you are unsure, after acouple of shows you should know how the land lies
