What the worst thing that your dogs have eaten ?

Friend's dog ate a sock, and while she was in the park in front of a large crowd she had to 'help' the sock out.. It was her brother's football sock, bright yellow & red!!

Decomposed mouse - Bumble Dog sat with the tail hanging out of her mouth and when we tried to pull - GLUG and GULP and yes it was gone - gross

PMSL!!!

Finn has eaten or at least TRIED to eat half a frog!!!

We were out walking and he suddenly nose dived into the bush and came out chewing - I quick shoved my fingers in the side of his mouth to see what it was...

Picture this.. me bending over the dog - a finger each side of his mouth keeping mouth open and wiggling the beasts head so whatever it was came out ...

then what appears? Some LONG Yellow and Green, with black spots, slimy frogs legs... URGH... worst thing was they wouldn't come out - I wiggled and shock his head with fingers in mouth til the legs fell on the floor...

Disgusting creature!!!

I was like... cccoooool look at these...

Little b*gger tried to pick them up on the way back too!!

The (future) mother in laws vitamin supplements!!! It was the first time she had met him!!!

We left him in the kitchen and he had jumped up on the side and ate the tub and all the tablets!! He did have a lovely shiney coat for a few weeks tho!!

She didn't eat it but brought me a dead hummingbird, retriever style, when she was a pup. I freaked out when I took it from her mouth because I thought it was a leaf of some sort.

This one isn't weird but it meant a pricey trip to the vet. About two months ago she ate rotted meat (from the gutter), when I was having a conversation with someone. She contracted campylobacter, lost 2lbs (a lot for an 18lb dog) and had to take antibiotics for three weeks to clear the infection in her gut.

My dog ate my hamster. like a true border collie he paraded it round the living room agility style and then before i could rescue enid the hamster it was gone.

If you don't watch him my vizsla eats his own poo which is pretty disgusting.
The pointer eats paper and has eaten important documents at work!

My lab used to regulaly steal from the washing basket - several 'pop socks' had to be helped out the other end, but it was when he ate a pair of my mothers pants that we were in trouble - the elastic can get twisted around the gut so we had to have him opened up to retrieve them!

Mine decided that the gravel driveway was tasty - he was only a pup and I thought he was putting weight on quickly?!? - opened him up and had 72 stones in his tummy.

He once ate a frog and slimed up for two days, thought he had rabies?! bless him.

Springer once ate all the boiler and pipes for central heating, cost a small fortune!! Terrier has eaten my sisters guinea pig (sister still doesn't know!!). Hens, rabbits, birds, mice, rats and anything else they catch or that the cats catch and they rob off them. Horse brushes esp plastic curry combs, buckets, plastic food wrappers, hoof after the farriers been, all sorts of poo- horse, dog, cat, sheep, fox....eugh no wonder I don't let them lick me, my dogs are disgusting!!

Your guineas are so cute!! I'd love to get some more but don't really have time to give them much attention- I've too many other animals!! Also afraid the dog might have a taste for them now!!

My long gone Dobe, Elsa, ate my ex's wages in the days when you were paid cash!!! She scoffed the lot.

Tally, Vizsla, will eat anything!! I regularly pull socks out of her backside, in fact I now buy all of my socks from Asda in packs of 5 pairs all the same - that way I can still always find a pair! She will chew up and eat anything plastic or wood and has chewed and eaten a pair of Clarks sandals, all that was left was the metal buckles. I have also pulled hairbands, bits of tea towel, cardboard, yellow duster and bits of duvet out of her bum. She hates it when she gets a 'dangler' and crawls on her belly to me for me to assist in the removal!

Nova, Vizsla, once dug a tiny baby rabbit out of a hole and before I could stop her, my other Viz, Kes, swallowed it whole. I am sure it was still alive when it went down. That one really upset me, poor little rabbit.

Cody, my present Dobe, ate 5, yes 5, leather combination collars that I bought at a cost of £15 each from Crufts a few years ago. He systematically worked his way through all of my other dogs, managing to get their collars off and eat them, leaving me a small present of the brass chain. He even managed to get his own off and chew it up, in fact he didn't just chew it - he completely ate it. He also ate a lovely tan and white plaited leather collar that I bought for Nova.

Oh yes, and Tally and Nova, both Vizslak, will eat poo, any poo - dog (fresh or crusty), fox, cow, sheep, horse, they are not proud!

My God, just reading this makes me wonder why I have 'em!!

Ok..... picture the scene, a lovely summer day, my friend, her new baby and myself are sat in the garden enjoying the sunshine. Friend is busy changing babys nappy and it is a few moments before we realise that Ki has made off with said babys dirty nappy and is happily devouring the contents, and yes, you've guessed it, it wasn't just a wet one!!!!!

On that note guys ..... enjoy your breakfast!!!!

J xx

Well this isnt horrible but my lab loves carrots and grapes and oranges and other vegetables and things most dogs dont like! He eats soaked sugarbeet and those funny horse treats that are full of herbs. He loves curry and likes having his own cup of luke warm tea.

My mastiff likes grapes but someone told me this week they are poisonous for dogs! I had no idea- mind you I didnt ever feed them to her- she just steals them- as mastiffs do!!

My friends dog had been sick in her car, as we stood outside talking about cleaning it up, my Doberman jumped in and ate the lot. That made us both heave.

Another friends dog would try and catch wasps and bee's and this was a horrible scarry habbit.

Where to start?

,the yorkie had a fetish for younger brothers nappies,Aunts Dane had a mega drive when he was a pup(just he power cables left hanging out of his mouth!) another of Aunts Danes hate's smoke and would chew her ciggs up if he could get to them and my Uncle came home to find his 11 month rescue GSD sat atempting to eat the sink(yep, the metal SINK) with all the wooden part shreaded around him.

Would like to add they were all lovely dogs once they discovered what a brain is!

A bag of flour which was in the kitchen. Came home to find black dog with white patches kitchen covered in flour and then where he had tried to lick it glued onto the floor. Oh and just to cap it all it had upset his tummy and he had crapped in the middle.

Took about 3 hours to clean dog and kitchen!!

Mine ate some left over chicken satays on skewers left over from a chinese, skewers and all! She had been sick the other day when i got home it included, skewers in half, grass, half a plastic ball and yellow bile! She was very very lucky!
