What time should we arrive at Badders - Saturday?

As the title says....

...we're coming on saturday for XC day, never been before and I don't want to have to sit in lots of traffic...

It's about a two and a half hour drive from home...

So what time should we aim to arrive?

Thank you HHOers

Now will everybody please tell jumpthemoon to stop moaning about getting up early and that she needs to be ready for me to pick her up at 5:30am

I usually aim to get there for 7 to 7.30am that way you get to park at the front no queues and you get breakfast and shopping before the crowds start!

I'll be selling raffle tickets for blue cross, please buy one - will be at the XC fence on Saturday and their stall on Sunday.

All donations will be gratefully recieved.

Ooh we're leaving from Leicestershire and my friend reckons we'll be ok to leave at 6.45 but you're making me think we need to go earlier. Can't bear sitting in traffic even with an automatic and I know for sure we'll have to do it getting out

Never mind, mustn't grumble its my first time too and I can't wait to see those big babies up close

Bex - as early as is humanly possible!
FWF - yes, admission is slightly more expensive but TBH advance admission is so expensive you don't really notice the slight price hike on the day anyway!

As everyone has said - get there as soon as the gates open! You get front row parking in the Lake car park, great views for later

I thought the gates opened at 6am, but no idea where I got that from?

In the past we've got there for 8am and not had to queue - anything later than that and you risk being stuck for hours.

This year I'll just have a nice stroll from the campsite, so no getting up early or rushing around
