I went to a new stables today which I havn't been too before, I had a 1/2 hr private lesson which I really feel I've got alot out of as although I'm not a novice rider my position needs fine tuning after only hacking for 6+ yrs. The stables was nice and relaxed and liked the lady who taught me.

Anyway I've booked in for a hours group lesson in two weeks which is £20 but I'm not sure if I would really benefit more from sticking with the private ones for the time being although they are only 1/2hr or 3/4hr (£22 or £35) I really can't justify £35 although I'd like to ride for longer but I could alternate a private lesson with a hours hack (£25).

What should I do!!!

I understand that £35.00 is a lot of money but if you get more out of it than you would a group lesson its worth the money. Good instructors are very hard to find these days as there are lots of ineffective ones out there at the moment.

I have such a mental job hours wise it just wouldn't be possible to do that but I've decided to do the 1/2hr private lessons and alternate them with hacks so then I can ride for an hour. TBH I don't think my body could cope with much more than a 1/2hr lesson at the moment!! As I also want to work on my jumping confidence it means that with private lessons it'll be just me.

That what I'm doing now, mostly 1hr group lessons with the occasional private 45mins. I'm working on my jumping confidence too, good luck! x
