What to do rent field go to livery??

I'm very undecided and I thought it best to get a outsiders point of view.
As title says its about grazing/livery, basically got two ponies, my children's pony & my youngster just starting her ridden career, my kids pony has just come back to us from a year loan and my pony is new, I current have about one acre at home I use as winter paddock & pony normally goes to DIY livery spring/summer ( I pay for full year), anyway my youngest child is a the age she no longer sleeps during the day so I don't really want her running around at livery & I now have limited time, & I car share with my husband, making things sometimes lil difficult..
my choices are-
1)- Local field waking distance 11/2 acres but very costly at £150 mth ( not joking.
2) 10 mins away, 3 acres £100 mth, though unsure of hacking around, & lil worried about child issues when she comes.
3) find full livery for mine & sell/ loan kids pony, as cant afford both in full.
Can't do DIY as with fuel & time I just won't be able to manage x2 trips plus mucking out time.. When OH needs to get to work etc.

I keep looking at number 3 but worried I will lose the bond with my horse & someone else will end up knowing her better than I do & the thought of selling/loaning the other fills me with dread, but it is something I would do if needed as much as I really do not want too.

It is so difficult to fit in everything when children are young and not old enough to be able to help with ponies. It is a stage you are going through, and will pass (too quickly, they grow up so fast!). So you need a solution for the present, you can change again when the children are older.

Only you can decide what will work best - have you tried writing down for and against each option from your own point of view and that of your family, I find this often points to the best option.

A member of our family has a horse on full livery, and as sees him every day, so he knows she is his special person. I am sure others will be able to advise you better on this, but would not rule out full livery for this reason, especially if this is the safest option.
 
Hi, my lad is on full livery. I have two children under 7 and it's a weight off knowing he's looked after - esp. If kids are ill or when we're on holiday etc. I still have a good bond with boyo as i can spend time with him rather than just doing his jobs etc.

Do any of your local diy yards offer part-livery or assisted diy?
 
Sorry I'm a bit confused by options 1&2? Are they field only or include stable?
Do the ponies need to live in? If they do then I would consider assisted DIY - get yard to either turn out or fetch in at one end of day so u could go just once a day? If u are mucking out etc should keep costs down.
If they can live out then choose most convenient field for you, so long as affordable.
 
Wouldn't option 2 be the same as diy regarding problems of car sharing? How about diy where services are offered so you only need the car once a day? If not then if finances allow, option 1. But I'd probably look for diy within walking distance.
 
What about a 4th option. Decide what you in your heart of hearts want, and then put a card to that effect in local feed shop/tack shop etc. I did that years ago, and found the perfect solution - at the time. Good luck, I know it's difficult.
 
Is there a reason you can't continue as you have been, your paddock in winter & the same diy yard you've been using spring & summer?
 
My ponies live out over spring/summer but having a stable is handy,I would use the DIY but as most are not child friendly and most rather not have any child on the yard, I don't want to tip toe around with screaming child in toe hoping i don't get dirty looks as I pass. With a field I wouldn't have this problem. I want my horses to be my hobby/love not something I worry about and feeling guilty to have a toddler.
