Buy another pony or not?
My 8 year old sons saintly pony Poppy (12.2) has got lami - badly, concussive we think as nothing has changed in her management and shes a skinny min. So shes on box rest for who knows how long.
Now I already have his next pony but shes (at a broad 13.2) a bit big, a bit green and wasn't really intended for him for another year (I have broken her in).
I have just been offered a wonderful pony, a section C, for £1000. 12 years old and impeccably mannered. Shes only 12.1 but much broader than Poppy. Do I buy her as a stop gap? Do you think theres a market for these small cobs as I would (Poppy permitting) want to sell her in the spring.
