I was jumping today and the pony misjudged his stride before a jump (have got frame by frame photographs showing what went wrong) and we both ended up on the ground; this was in a school with a nice deep rubber surface, which was a mercy.
He was a bit shaken but trotted up sound afterward - I rode him back home at a walk and then cold hosed the leg that had taken much of the impact.
I will go and check him before work tomorrow, but I imagine that he will be stiff and achy to some degree. What's important in the next few days? This is the first - and hopefully last - time this has happened to me, so it's a bit of a blank.
