what to do when your friends take the mick out of you for liking horses

Is there no one else in your school that has horses? I would be very very surprised if that is the case.

Ditch these so called friends proto and get yourself some new horsey friends!

I expect it is just jealousy actually. Tell them it keeps you fit and boys who ride have amazing strong thighs and gorgeous bums!

Is there any way you could try to seek out some like minded girls at school with ponies?? Perhaps ask a teacher - they would probably know and might even set up a school club or at least introduce you.

They're not "friends" they are bullies. Don't hang around with them, don't speak to them, pretend they are not there, delete and block them on FB.

They sound like a right buch of chavs the "crew" word did it for me. The type that hang around bus stops and tesco express picking on old ladies, I'll bet they aim to be pregnant and settled in a council flat by the age of 16.

They have no hobbies or structure unlike you and are probably a bit jealous if the truth be told.

I know what you are going through as I used to be bullied because of horses too when I was a teenager. I remember when I was 12 and 13, there used to be a boy in my class that used to punch my arm all the time (hard too!!) for liking horses and call me "horse". He was always punching me and the teachers did nothing but last summer I found out that him and some of his family had just gotten arrested for murder!! It said in the news that they were a Mafia family. Maybe that's why the teachers did nothing as they knew what sort of family he came from as he had an older brother at the school too. That shows what a loser he was and not to waste your time trying to be friends with these morons.

Even when I got moved to private school, the girls were still as nasty about me and horses so I just dumped them and stayed by myself concentrating on doing well at school so that when I grew up, I could get a good job and get my own horse.

It sucks being a teenager as you don't have the life experience and hardened skin yet to deal with b*ll*cks like this and not care but just focus your attention on your final goal, horses. It's hard but you won't be a teenager at secondary school forever with that cr*p and as an adult, when you find out how some of these "friends" turned out, you can smile to yourself ;)
