Hey,
My friend has had her horse out on loan for about 2 years. It was quite hard for her to put the horse out on loan but she felt she was being wasted and wanted her to learn and for someone to enjoy her.
Recently she has been told the loan is coming to an end and instead of being given the 4weeks notice she is being told that the horse will be returned in 2 weeks.
My friend does have quite alot of grazing which she rents but feels it will be hard for the horse to return after her being away and does not want to grow attached again. She is ready to sell her and has asked the people who have her if they would be interested. Their reply was yes but they have taken ages coming back to her, she does not know if they are being honest and she is worried that it will fall through. After emails and phone calls no one has called her back and she feels quite upset about it all. She is prepared to have the horse back and to re-loan but really wanted the people who have the horse to buy her as they came across sincere and loving. She is more interested in a good long term home then the price as she bought the horse as a foal and brought her on herself.
What do you think she should do...keep her and just re-loan, in which case this sort of thing might happen again, or just try and sell her now while she is used to her being away..? She is very keen on the horse and already has three others so would not really have the time for this one....
