What to do with bone??

I have bought Alfie a bob martin cured ham bone and he loves it. I just dont want him to have it all the time but what do i do with it inbetween times??? How long will it last and when should i throw it away???

Bin it and give him a real bone would be my preference!

Or you can take it off him and leave it outside in the garden when you dont want him to have it, assuming he is indoors etc etc.

Not sure how long they last as I never feed them.

some dogs have problems with real bones so if he likes it and it doesnt upset his stomach then they are fine, when you want it taken away just have it off him and put somewhere out of his reach, good practise for ensuring you get anything off of him easily in the future.
