What to do with mane for in-hand show

Just wondering what other people would do with this mane for in-hand showing.

It is being grown out so eventually hopefully it will be long, but it's at the in-between stage at the moment. If I plait it, the plaits look like giant golf balls even if I do lots of them!

I would pull it so its even and show as a native type coloured until it is long.Lovely ponio btw

Thank you. It's growing quite quickly so hopefully it will be long before the end of the show season!
