What to do with old hats?

So unfortunately I’ve developed a habit of being bronced off into arena fences, head first by my beloved, darling horse. Don’t blame the poor boy today he’s been at the vets for 4 days not turned out and in the process of the vet trying to get a good lameness assessment on a horse that struggles to canter he finally had enough and exploded. Either way, I need a new hat!

But I feel sad as it was my very pretty hat that’s only 6 months old following a very similar hat vs fence moment late last year. It’s navy with rose gold detailing and it’s lovely I feel sad if I can’t find it again as it was mostly out of stock when I bought it last year. I still have the other navy one too that was involved in the first hat vs fence incident.

Does anyone on here do anything creative with their old hats or have seen anything interesting? Would be a shame to just chuck it. I’ll see if I can buff the fence marks out of it if I can use it for anything artsy ?

I was going to say drill holes in them, spray paint them, and use them as plant pots.
Love the hanging basket idea!

I think they would look cute as hanging baskets and I have some old headcollars that I might be able to fashion into being the straps for them, thanks all!
