My friend has had her ponies shoes removed for good today, he's now retired at 27 (although he was barely ridden the past few years). She wasn't there as had an emergency dental appointment.

I kept the shoes so I can get something made using them. Ideas please? I thought of a boot jack perhaps? What have you done with yours?

You can get them made into a wine bottle holder, looks really nice. Although she would have to like wine in order for this to be appropriate!

A few things it depends how handy you are. You could clean them up and varnish them and then thread ribbon on them so they can hang on the wall.
As above you can have them made into something. My oh made a sign for my instructors yard out of a load of spare ones, he also made a name plate for my horse but his name was Q so not as hard. With my old mares shoes I'm going to mount them on a bit of wood in a haphazard/sculpture kind of style. Hard to explain but my oh is going to clean them and I will arrange them how I want and he will weld them in place. Possibly going to the same with my geldings aswell, just haven't got round to it.
I can't think of the top of my head but there are a couple of places on fb that do stuff with shoes which might give you some insperation.

I put them on the wall in the stable or put them on the stable doors

I painted one of my first horses shoes with gold coloured paint and had my Dad secure it to a piece of black MDF using screw in gold coloured hooks which we then hung keys on. It's still in the kitchen in his house. Others I've just hung around the place.

I've seen the wine racks, they're great! Wish I had the skills to do something like that :)

Someone on here I forget who, made theirs into photo frames :)
My OH made me a hoofpick from half a shoe if you think she'd like something like that and I have to say it's the most comfortable hoofpick to hold I've ever had :)

My dad made me a pencil pot out of oak with a slanted top where the horse shoe is attached, (it's just a random shoe tho) and the shoe off our pony who isn't shod anymore is on the beam above our kitchen door. Have seen bookends if she likes reading, if you have a look on pinterest and type horse shoe/ horse shoe crafts there should be some good ideas (1000's!)
