sorry long title:o

it was so wet over winter it got to the point I couldn't get the wheel barrow or the ATV to the muck heap (its past the 1 area that all the water drains to) so I made another temporary one that I used for 4 months. I've just had it removed and the area underneath (which is part of one of the paddocks) was grass and is now obviously not! what's the best thing to do? if I re-seed it will it grow (as its had lots of muck there, I'm thinking it'll either grow very well or not at all!) I was going to rotate them back in this field at the end june or into July. It's only one section but I need all the grass areas I can get!
any ideas greatfully received:)

You might well find it comes back on it's own - the root structure will still be there. A bit of grass seed would help it along no problem.
It'll certainly grow but it may taste sour so 50:50 whether they will eat it or not.

Grass won't come back on it's own, so you will need to scatter seed on it.

Scattter the seed then harrow it in.

There is a possibility it may not grow back for some time as the amount of 'fertiliser' in the top soil will burn the newly growing grass. Have you had lots of rain since removing the muck heap as this will help dilute the levels?

Muck heap was just moved today and as the tractor has spilled bits and driven over it so the area with it on is quite a lot bigger than the muck heap was. It was also the winter field so was trashed and only just starting to recover. I'm really going to have to re-think for next winter. So if I harrow the spilt driven over bit and spread it over the field, maybe then re-seed as its pretty bad anyway and harrow again. Resting until mid -end July? Not much rain today but I think there will be some over the next few days, it poured yesterday!
