Hiya

I have been having a think about what to do with my youngster - and am torn between heart & head. He is 3 years old and is really easy to do and real dope on a rope type although deffo falshy enough for showing. He is out on grass and is very happy being a baby, but I just feel he needs someone that can give him more time, start him and do him some justice....to me he is like a pet all I do is fuss him and groom him....I really don't have time for much else and feel he needs to see the world a bit and live his life....

I now feel guilty as he is always so happy to see me just for a brush, he will come trotting over and its not fair, he needs someone to give him the time and attention everyday and start his education. I have probabaly left him to be a baby and grow up slowly as he is so easy and hasn't ever given me any trouble....so the years have gone really quickly.

I couldn't sell him as would be to worried where he could end up or people taking advantage of his trusting, honest nature....

In your experiences do you think people might be interested in Loaning a pony like him, or are Loaners mainly interested in schoolmasters or experienced horses that have been there and done that.

I think he would be a great project for a showing enthusiast to produce and bring on.....but am worried that people will think that he is a 'project' as he has problems not because he is a baby and a total blank canvess.

Dairy Milk and a glass of wine for those still reading... any thoughts/help would be appreciated as I need to decide what to do and what is best for this special boy....:):)

Thanks x

Im not really that experienced when it comes to youngsters but he sounds a lovely boy to me :D
I think that it is a good idea that you are putting him on loan instead of selling him as you can keep an eye on how everything is going if you do find him a home. If i was someone looking for a project he sounds a great boy and i would definately be interested.

Hope this is some help to you xx

Thank you, he is sweet and loves being lead around, fussed over, brushed etc...he even dribbles while you groom him...lol... X

Aww he sounds lovely! Could you maybe loan him from your yard? xx

I did think about it but there is no school, and was thinking if someone wanted to crack on they would want somewhere with good facilities for him...I wouldn't want to stop him from finding an excellent home by keeping him at the current yard....

Although I would prefer it just so I could keep an eye on him...but isn't always possible  XX
