Hi Guys,

I havnt been on here in ages, bloody work has banned every single website that doesnt involve work!!

Anyway, I would really appreciate your opinions on what to feed abbey this winter, shes a good doer and deffinatley doesnt need any energy! She got lice last winter so I dont think she had enough vitamins etc. Were going to be doing a bit of show jumping and dressage but mostly hunting.

I want to have somthing to help with her hooves as they are always bad but beacause of our wet summer there worse than ever!

She is a very sensitive mare so I dont want to over complicate it with lots of different things as she has in the past got lumps etc due to being on oystress.

HELP!!

thanks Steph x

Safe and sound chaff is great, great for hooves as designed for laminitics, i feed it to all my horses, from a fat shetland, warmblood mare and foal and one in full work! Also sugar beet is great for fussy eaters.
Why not feed a feed balancer or vitamin and mineral supplement?

Safe and sound chaff sounds like a good plan Steph

.. and as for vitamin/mineral supplement i would try her on Equine America V-Biotic. Annie and Pickwick love it and its picked them up so well

don't think safe and sound needs an extra supplement? I thought it was like winergy Low and Happy Hoof - all in one?? Any of those sound suitable really, complete, no messing, low starch high fibre. think winergy low has a bit more in in terms of vits and mins and protein to support her muscles while your hunting but any would be any easy solution.

thanks for all the advice guys, only just managed to get on here, been really busy all week. Was pay day today so im off to cornwall farmers at the weekend with my new found info! x
