Hi, just thought I'd see if anyone has any suggestions. My daughter's pony is 12.2, 21 yrs old and chunky, looks like a miniature cob, and I keep him hogged and trimmed. He is a fantastic school master but can be a bit 'stuffy'.
They have qualified in working hunter for a big championship show, and are schooling and practising hard, but still having fun as well.
I'm just wondering if there is anything I can feed him for a few days before the show to give him a bit more 'ooomph'. At the moment he is on decent grazing and is fed on Bailey's Lo cal balancer and Healthy Hooves chaff. He looks well and is in brilliant shape for his age, we are so proud of him and my daughter loves him so much, they have a fab partnership together, and I just want to do everything possible to give them the best chance of doing well.
Oats send him mad, by the way!
