I’m feeding my 25 year old welsh d veteran vitality with blue chip senior balancer and she’s out 24/7 at grass. Shes always been a good doer but is looking a bit ribby and lacks a bit of stamina. Her teeth were done in March & her cushings test was ‘negative’ I have added micronised linseed to her feed, what else could I give? Pea protein? I’ve always worried about her being too fat as she is a native. Thanks

My 29yo cob is now losing teeth, and I have fed forage replacers for the past two winters. He can graze ok, but still gets a bucket feed daily just to top him up. I am using Pink Mash and Fast Fibre, probably around a third of a scoop of each soaked, then a double handful of Graze On or other dried grass chop mixed in just to stop him bolting it down. In winter he gets larger amounts plus soaked sugar beet and Graze On. Any haylage now has to be chopped; Silvermoor Veteran haylage does the job perfectly.
