I would put 'Had vetted and happy with comments made' if there were any etra comments or just say Had vetting... if you didnt you need to state that you didn't have the horse vetted, well more for her than for you!

I'd add the passport number and name on the passport and any sort of agreements you have come to, for example sold as seen or free from whatever, or vaccinations up to date etc. I would also include a sentance specifically saying that the passport has also been handed over, and anything else that is going to come with her.

Definately something along the lines of

"sold as seen with no warranty or gaurantee."

unless you are offering one.

Both of you should sign and date and you should both have a copy to keep.

Thanks for the replies.

She is microchipped and passported, I dont have those details yet as they are with her owner but I could hand write it in when we go and pick her up.

She was 2 stage vetted and had Xrays on a bony lump on her off hind hock and was passed.

She has just started her Vaccination course too so Ill be taking that on, should that be mentioned?

I know the seller should do a receipt but if Ive done one theres no excuses is there?

When I sell a horse I always include date of last vaccination/worming/teeth and "sold as seen" or "sold with vetting certificate dated . . . ." and a list of any tack etc that's going with the horse. To be honest, it should be the seller doing all that, not the buyer, though

I would think if you are buying you don't do the receipt for the horse. The receipt of the horse will be up to the seller to provide - and will be up to you to request said receipt of seller.

If you want to have a receipt that you provide it will be to say that you have paid the seller x amount of money for the horse - so a receipt for the money.

Of course - I am prepared to be corrected by them that know more than me!!
