Yup, the time has come when I am so fed up with getting kicked by a certain lurcher trying to edge me off the sofa that I have to put my foot down and say enough is enough.

Well, more like get a second-hand two-seat sofa for the long-legged lout so that I can have mine back.

So, what would you say is a dog's checklist of must-haves for a sofa? Comfy cushions are an obvious must but what else? Wide or normal seat? High or short back? Square or sloping arms? Patterned to hide the dirt for when the throw slips? Leather/faux leather for easy cleaning? Plastic covers (hah!)?

Any old sofa, then chuck on a throw that's fairly easy to clean (as well as cushions, naturally :p).

We used to have a pull-out bed sofa thingy that was designated as the 'doggy sofa'. And then because you could turn it into a bed we used to take the throw off it and make guests sleep in it. Muahaha.
