My horse is on pro feet supplement as advised by the farrier but the problem is i dont know what to mix it with. She doesnt like chaff so i cant mix it with that and im not wanting to start her on feed until the end of next month if anything. At the monent im using sugar cubes as shes a very fussy eater with things like that so i know she'll eat the sugar. I dont put much on because obviously its not good for her; but by doing this shes only eating the sugar off the top and leaving the supplement behind! Any ideas of what will mix well with it? Thanks

I'd use a tiny amount of sugarbeet but if that isnt possible then maybe sections of apple that has been pressed in to the powder so it sticks to the wet surface? Or you sugar cubes with a drop of oil to make the powder stick

In the old days we would mix it with treacle and slap it on the tongue with a wooden spatula but I gather that sort of thing isnt done these days lol

Ours don't particularly like chaff but mixed with a bit of micronised linseed they love it. Also some grated apple as a treat. Bit like kids who won't eat their weetabix when they know there's coco pops in the cupboard!

I use fast fibre for supplements and mine loses the plot on pony nuts and hi fi. Fast fibre isn't heating. Barley and mollasses free :-) brilliant stuff!
