Boris has yet again come up with a scabby mouth. I would post pictures but don't know how to

It's not like last year when he ate something and all the white skin went scabby like sunburn and his legs swelled.

This time it looks like mud fever that's dried out but it is spreading from around his mouth to a sore under the noseband on his cheek and dry patches around one eye.

None of the others in his field have any symptoms at all and he was de-loused and wormed about 2 weeks ago.

Any ideas ?? He seems fine in himself otherwise.

Thanks for reading

It might be mud fever - one of mine got it last year - when the grass is low to the ground and they are turned out when it is damp they can get it. You could try treating it like mudfever on their legs

Preparation H cream is really good, you can get it from your chemist. Its is for hemeroids so you will probally get funny looks, my old boss used to go in and buy approx 20 tubes at once!! You can imagine the look on peoples faces lol.

I think I would be trying to figure out what was causing the scabs before trying to treat them. Are you sure it isn't mange or something similar, especially as you mention it spreading?
