What to travel in?

I have to take my mare to the clinic on Friday for a lameness work up and I am wondering what it would be best to travel her in rug wise.

She is unclipped and predominantly TB so doesn't have a hugely thick coat but she is quite a warm horse currently turned out in a fleece under a 200g fill turnout rug during the day and fleece with a lightweight stable rug in an indoor stable at night.

She will be travelling in a trailer and she does sweat up a little bit when travelling but only around her chest/neck area. Temperature is reported to be expected at around -2.

Any suggestions welcome

Pure wool rugs are great, nice and warm, and they wick all the moisture to the outside to keep the horse nice and dry.

If she sweats up I would travel her in the Fleece especially if it has wicking properties that way it will take the wet away from her and should keep her warm as well. Hope all goes well.

Thanks all I was thinking fleece but was worried that she might get cold whilst we are moving but think I'll go with that. I don't know what make the fleece is but its pretty warm and is wicking so think she should be ok!
