What to wear for Novice Riding Horse class at County Show

I am showing my boy in a novice riding horse class at Dorset County show and wondered whether he should wear a snaffle or a pelham with two reins? Also, is it right for me to wear a hacking jacket or do i need to wear blue?

Pelahm or snaffle would be fine for novice - whatever he is happier in. You should wear a hacking jacket and shirt and tie. Blue is correct for hacks and not really seen in riding horse classes.

Yes - coloured browbands are correct for Riding Horses. Has anyone got one you can borrow? They sell them on ebay as well or you could be terribly creative and make your own!
