I am taking a friends chestnut filly in a forest class at the New Forest Show on wednesday, what am I supposed to wear for an in-hand class, I haven't done one in absolute years!

Thanks in advance!

I wore (top to bottom):

Black velvet hat
Green show jacket (tweed)
White shirt
Red tie
Black gloves
(I would have had a black cane but she was such a handful I entered the ring without it!)
Cream jods
Black polished jod boots
And black joddy clips (one of which pinged off half way round!!! grr!)

Filly should be bitted if over a year, leather headcollar if not (i THINK although I'm not sure), and have a leather lead rope.

Good luck! Photos required =] xxxxx

What breed is the filly...

Generally correct inhand for a filly is

Hat either riding or other appropriate to breed,
Shirt tie and jacket
trousers opposite colour to horses legs -- if she's got socks then go for black
and boots/footwear you can run in.

A filly should be shown in a white halter of rights... but not bitted unless this is necessary for control

Correct inhand-
Navy hat (pref without straps)
Tweed Jacket
Yellow shirt
Tie (compliment tweed)
Brown gloves
Brown cane
Light coloured trousers (if your horse has dark legs, if it has light coloured legs- dark trousers- M+S has some for £15)
brown boots (joddy boots are fine)

I wouldn't wear jods or joddy clips.
