What to wear to hoys?

i always find it gets fairly warm in the shopping area but can get chilly if you sit in the arena for too long but a good jumper should be fine! i tend to wear smart jeans, shirt, gilet then take a jumper/ buy a jumper incase it gets chilly!

Yep, agree, it gets hot in the shopping areas so don't overload yourself with layers or you'll be lugging them around all day and won't have hands free for carrying bags full of goodies you buy! I'm wearing a thin long sleeve top and gilet, jeans and country boots - standard issue there.
 
It does get warm but I always take a padded gilet which also serves as a cushion to sit on - i will spend all day at the caldene arena and will appreciate a cushion towards the end of the day - who knew sitting down was such hard work!
 
Were going down tonight, Ill just be wearing jeans and t-shirt or a blouse. Ill have my coat with me as well, as it does get cold in the Caldene (where I will be at all times lol!!!)
 
Spending three days in the Caldene this year, cannot wait. I wear a T shirt normally but have a jumper with me

If anyone sees a big fat readhead do give me a smile lol
 
Are you going down tomorrow welsh D???? Im looking forward to watching all the natives tomorrow and then Thursday my friend has qualified her section b in the workers... look out for Burwain Wild Poppy :)

yes I am there tomorrow, Thursday and Saturday :) not planning to move far from the Caldene!
 
I'll be there on Friday, was just wondering where my padded gilet was earlier, will need to look for that later!

I'll just be watching the hunters, then my mate is dragging me over to watch the cobs and round the shopping. Going to be a loooong day, lol.

Thanks all!!! I'm sooo looking forward to seeing all the natives and doing some shopping!!! Will wear a shirt and padded gilet and maybe take another layer. Might consider something on my legs too!!!
 
Forgot to say no matter what you wear indoors make sure you have something warm for the long wait for a courtesy bus after the evening performance - that is always very chilly!
 
I'm there today and am wearing a good coat and jeans .I feel the cold!!!

Just need to walk the dog, make a sandwich then off to HOYS!!!!!!!!
