Hello,

Hope it is OK to post this here?!

I was wondering whether anyone could give me a rough idea what to wear to Cheltenham for ladies day this week please. I've never been so gave it a quick google and it looks like some people really go all out with heels and hats. Is this the norm? Could I get away with flats, tights and a nice warm coat or would that be out of place? Any advice much appreciated, dressing well isn't something that comes easily to me!

Dress firstly for warmth and comfort. So long as you are smart you'll be fine. Unless you want to compete for the Best Dressed title then all out cold and uncomfortable you go!

I usually wear jeans, chelsea boots and a smart blazer. Nice mix between smart and comfortable. Or a more casual dress perhaps, depends how warm is forecast to be!

Best advice from the Cheltenham website. We want you to enjoy the racing so dress for warmth. In terms of style (I should say I am male so what do I know). Wear what you would feel smart and comfortable in. In experience, at national hunt meetings people go to see the racing, at the flat people go to be seen racing.
