What to wear when showing ponies

Hi all, do you wear jodphur boots or long boots when showing ponies as an adult. I am hoping to show my dartmoor and 13'2 connie .

Just not sure on the correct dress for adults showing ponies.

Inhand it would be johdpur boots, or another smart looking shoe.
Under saddle *i think* small breeds (dartmoor) you should be in johdpur boots and for large breeds (even if he is small) then long boots
