I might have accidentally agreed to go hunting!
No idea what I can wear though.

Can I wear black, but not leather boots (synthetic), black jacket, cream jods and shirt and tie? Or do I have to wear a stock??

Don't mind if I have to wear a stock as I can borrow one, but what about boots and jacket?? If I can't wear them it's going to be expensive, can't think of anyone I could borrow them off either as I'm an odd size (straight up and down!)

Do you mean rubber boots? I'm sure you'll be fine with that, I'd borrow a stock if you can though, it will help keep you warm if nothing else! :)

No, not rubber, it's these:

Black jacket is fine then??

Boots are synthetic, the Dublin Frontier boots, I can't attach a picture to show you ??

Hmm, not sure, what hunt are you going with? I personally wouldn't wear them, but it's not like you'd get sent home or anything! :p Joddy boots and chaps might be better?

If you can't get hold of anything else then don't let it stop you going!!!:)

Best to check as some hunts (such as ours) are wearing ratcatcher since the ban. Also, a black jacket should really be worn with a white stock/hunting tie - not sure if you meant a normal tie or not?) As a newbie you might be better wearing ratcatcher with coloured stock or shirt and quiet coloured normal tie? Also if you can borrow leather boots or chaps these would be safer in case of a kick

Stock I can borrow so not a problem. So black jacket and stock. Isn't a stock preferable becuase it supports in neck in case of a fall?

What on earth is a ratcatcher?? I have plenty of them at work (I work in pest control!)

Probably going with the Heythrop.

I do have brown boots and cr@ppy chaps but that's going to look rubbish with the black jacket. Boots are an issue as no one else has skinny legs (mine are 12inches) plus I'm quite tall, which is why I bought these boots as I can get them to fit my legs.

If your black jacket is more of a show style then you will be warmer in ratcatcher (tweed jacket, breeches, shirt, tie/coloured stock and boots) and technically you'd be able to wear brown boots and chaps with it.

Have a good day, as long as you are clean, neat and tidy then nobody will make a big deal about what you are wearing (within reason)
