What type of breed?

OK so we have had him just over 3 years and hes now coming 6.

Hes gone from a small 14hh pony to quite a chunky 15.1hh horse and hes just gone bum high again.

What breed would you lot of said he is? I would of said welsh D x Vanner cob but the thing that confuses me is that he has a dorsal stripe??

So come on what do you reckon?

He has a typical welsh trot (very high knee action) and is very heavy footed to be fair, you can hear him coming before you see him.

Oh i forgot to say that he is quite long too, hes in a 6ft6 rug (same as my 17hh tb!!) but as well as being long he is quite thick set with a apple bum and a very thick neck etc

i would say a welsh d cross vanner cob is probably a good guess! does he have thick feathers?

I beg to differ. I think there is welsh cob in there but no vanner. Purhaps some sort of warmblood cross or coloured sport horse in there to add the colour to the welsh cob.

looks a bit exmoor-ish (eyes, muzzle, dorsal stripe), but obviously too big, so no idea?!

he kinda has a head abit like my highland and would explain the dorsel strip too, if he was a bit of highland tho i agree with Harlequin_Ro there is no vanner as he would be a bit shorter length wise in my opinion
