What type of worms are these?

As title says, what worms are these?

Pinworms.

Thanks thought so, they were wormed on Sunday with embotape, are these the result of that and is it the right one to use?

Scale? Always a good idea to include something of known size, ideally a ruler but a coin would do.

They aren't pinworm, they look like large roundworm

This is the scale against a piece of grass

they an inch to inch a half long and ALIVE - youngster has got pin worms hence the worming, but only seen one or two on top of poo these were all in poo and on grass around

Cor that's made a difference, no to small for roundworm so yes could be pinworm

They are pinworm - google images has plenty of pics. (you can tell by the narrowed tail)

Equest cleared them for my horse, but embotape should work too.

Eta, pinworm are notoriously difficult to get rid of though, you might need a few treatments to get rid of them.

Think you will find them as adult females (pinworm)

pin worm can stick to walls/ tools/ rugs etc.

My mare came with them from market,I kept her in for three days, she had a small bed, new bed daily (straw), scrubbed walls after 24hrs and then again at 48hrs and that cleared them, used equest.

Clean anus and area around daily--to remove any eggs
Clean anything horse rubs on for same reason

Please dont use wormers too often
