well basically anything but his faves are
1)marmite sandwiches - supposed to be good for keeping flies away too
2) ginger biscuits
3) chocolate digestives
4)chocolate in general
5) baby sweetcorn
6) crisps
7) cake
8) jelly tots
9) rolos

Any soft fruit like strawberries, raspberries, blackberries things like bananas, apple, carrot, swede, parsnip, oranges.

He's tried Macdonald's hot chocolate once (stole cup off the side!!!) and seemed to like that!!!

H is nuts for liquorice allsorts, he's rather partial to chocolate biscuits of any type, also iced buns , especially iced Chelsea and he will really bug me after a ride in winter for some of my coffee! I pour it into my hand and he licks it up.

:( Mine are deprived, they get grass and oats.

As they don't even like apples or carrots I am not wasting anything else on them. Polos are certainly too precious a commodity to give to a horse!

Pete won't touch anything out of the ordinary. I guess he was never given odd stuff. He will only eat 'natural' treats like carrots and apples and the odd Spillers mint or herb cube. He spits out polos too aswell as biscuits, bananas etc!

My horse, Dela, LOVES Fanta, I put this down to the fact that in the ingredients there is carrot, so its obviously meant for horses. She doesn't like anything else though, not even jaffa cakes!! :o

My old pony once stole a ham sandwich and liked it very much! He stole it from my Mum's hand :D

Peaches and mandarins for one, the pone absolutely loves anything cakey, bready, and carb filled. She gets a little twitchy and hyper if she sees anyone with a scone, and would quite cheerfully bite your arm off to get at it :D we bought her one back from the ritz on my birthday, is she the only pony to have a ritz scone smuggled out for her...

My old pony stole a ham sandwich from me too :) he loved it :P

Ethel has only just come round to eating polos and is getting there with apples although shes so gentle she doesnt eat them like the normal greedy horses, eats them tiny bite by tiny bite and wont even touch carrots!! anything else i try to give her she does the lip thing and nudges the out of my hand onto the floor lol

My ponio's boring, only likes the traditional apples, carrots, polos etc (although those she likes with abundance!).

The loan pony I had when I was kid liked crunchies and salt and vinegar crisps though, and my friends cob used to LOVE pot noodles; he'd stick out his bottom lip and let you pour it in!

Bella only likes apples, carrots & polos, but i know ponies that like turnips and potnoodles... I also know one that drank lucozade!:D

Our Section A loves ice cream, fags and salted popcorn. The ice cream she nicked from the kids and loved it and we always buy him now when we get ours, just a small cone though. The fags he discovered when a workman left his on the wall. She took the packet, shook them out and ate them. Now whenever he appears she sniffs round him looking for more.

Our kids left a bag of popcorn open on the back seat of the car and the door open. We turned round to discover that a Section A is actually able to get inside the back seat of a Volvo. All that was sticking out was his bum and tail as he merrily hoovered up the popcorn.

Daughter's shetland x pony likes spaghetti bolognaise, gazpacho soup (preferably waitrose with a dash of chilli :)) and he stole some boursin cheese the other day - he had stinky herb and garlic breath for a while after.

He is a nightmare to take to a picnic ride and he once dragged me across a showground at a smart canter to get to the cake stall, whereupon he made a lunge for the victoria sponge, while the WI women were trying to fend him off.

In fact not come across anything he won't eat yet - except horse wormer.

Please tell me you have a photo of this!

having gone from new forests that ate anything, doughnuts, crisps, sweets, my mare wont eat anything but carrots and apples, she doesnt like polos - she will begrudgingly eat apple flavour horse biscuits, but she'd rather not!

Sadly not, though we do have photos of him wandering through the house after someone left the front door open.

BTW, what happened to the edit function? I seem to have had a senior moment and his sex changed several times in the post I made earlier and now I can't correct it.

Snowflake will eat pretty much anything... he's even stole a sausage roll and eaten that before.

Teddi however is suspicious of anything you try to give him, unless its one of the blue chip treats which are his total favourties! Teddi once sucked on a banana...... but then he spat it out so guess that was a no!

Mine will eat anything! Last year at diwali our yard owner had a party and fireworks so i went up to make sure she was ok, and got given some food from the party which when i wasnt looking honey hoovered up! She absolutly LOVED the veggie curry :D

I really don't understand why people would give their horses human food, especially fizzy drinks, sugary biscuits/sweets, or bread/baked goods. I can only assume that these people don't know much about a horses' digestive system, and that they have never seen/lost a horse to serious colic. I just hope for their horses' sake that they never learn the hard way :( :(

Used to have a pony that loved Coca Cola - he learnt to drink from the can and would try and follow people at shows if they were walking around with a can!
Saffy will eat anything except bananas, she always has a biscuit with the farrier!
Kelsi is very wary of new food and has to sniff it for ages before trying it as I am obviously trying to poison her, particularly upset when I gave her a spearmint polo.
