what wormer to use this time of year......

I usually have a faecal egg count done and then only worm for redworm etc if they need it (this year we're using Eqvalan). Some people give them something for tapeworm too but we only do that in the autumn. It depends on your field management and worming program. We poo-pick regularly and aim to use as little wormer as possible. If you don't have a program already you might find it useful to speak to your vets about it - will make it much easier for you if you have a yearly plan sorted. :)

I usually ask my worker person at the tack shop I go to. She was going to sell me a syringe but when I said it was for a pony she was honest enough to sell me a sachet. Which I know works as used to use it on my old boy

Yes my TB is kept at livery and has a vet worming programme so hardly ever needs it. My other 2 are currently on the winter grazing field until may with other horses so need worming, (huge field) however they come home in the spring till about November where they are poo picked daily :) but i still worm regular.
Hoping to have stables put up this year so will be able to mange my field better, will be good to have them on a vet worming programme too.
