I remember reading that there are some store bought wormers you shouldn't use but can't remember which ones!

I am heading to Jollyes this afternoon to stock up on Beastie supplies and require new worming tablets...which ones should I buy?

I don't think there are any good or bad wormers, it depends on the dog and the breed, just as some people are allergic to certain medication.

My friend has had terrible reactions to Panacur. We worm the babies with Drontol Puppy but the adults are done with Panacur, apparently Panacur is supposed to be softer on the tummy but as I say, friend has had reactions to it. We've used it on the adults for 3 years now and not had any reactions.

I use a combination of stronghold which is also better than frontline for flea control and millbemax-I work at a vets and can tell you there isnt much else that can beat this combination!

I use Drontal on my Springer because it seems to be the vet's first choice. However my Yorkie was very sick after Drontal, so I use Milbemax for him now, which he tolerates with no problem.
