I am possibly looking into buying my wormers off the internet instead of my local feed merchants as it works out a bit cheaper.

I was looking at the Bimectin wormer as it seems to cover the same as Equest (what i normally use) but is considerably cheaper.

What ones does everyone else use?

It is a minefield looking for wormers, seems you need to know so much about each of the worm to be able to see which ones are going to cover the correct worms! Got me all confused!

Which site do you use for your wormers?

I wouldn't make my choice according to what is cheap. Carry on using your normal worming routine.
personally for me, if I need to worm I use Equest, and I do use Equitape in autumn. (I do worm counts - always >50 epg)

I always use Wormers Direct. They set your worming program for the year and send wormers when required. Wormers may be a bit dearer from them but I'm saving cos I don't worm as much.

Been doing this for 2 years and her worm count is always less than 50.

Hello, bimectin will be the same as Eqvalan, Furexel, Eraquel etc, it's ivermectin, whereas Equest is moxidectin so slightly different. Equest covers encysted redworm but the ivermectins don't.
If you are really unsure google 'intelligent worming' and find a very helpful company who can sort you out.
Alternatively ask me at info@westgatelabs.co.uk and I'll always try to help. I'm an SQP and there are probably others on here too.

Hey Tia

Is that an Amrican site?

If you order from there is there any duty to be paid here in Canada and can you order wormers from the USA legally??

I get really confused with this buying from the states business.
But I would really like to as so many things are cheaper.

Hi Penny,

Yes it is an American site. Yes you can order wormers from there legally and no I have never been charged duty on them, however if I was, I would simply apply to have the duty returned as part of NAFTA in with my taxes at the end of the year. I import a lot of equine stuff from the States; last shipment was a whole load of vinyl stud fencing, but we did use our Broker to deal with the Customs on that as it was for such a lot of money. He brought it in using NAFTA as we are a business.

If you are not a business, then you can still import and you may or may not be charged Duty depending on the Customs officers at the Border on that particular day.

I've been ordering from Jeffers for years and never had any Duty charged.
