What would be a good price?

I have found a nice little horse for sale (15hh, NF cross). He is 5, has hunted 2 seasons and been pony clubbing. I am not particularly looking for a hunter, just an all rounder and well mannered friend. I think the asking price of £3750 (ono) is far too high - what do you think would be reasonable?

I would be a bit concerned that he's been out hunting a season as 3 yr old if as you say at 5, he's hunted for 2 seasons. However if he's safe and well mannered then he's worth every penny.

Thank you. He's coming on trial, and if he's The One then I'll make a good enough offer that the seller will accept!

i partly agree with tilly but when you think about it basically all irish horses hunt as three yr olds and just cos its hunted doesnt meen its jumped the big country as a 3 yr old.

also bare in mind he may have priced to come down to get his ideal price.
